Discussion Guidelines

Before participating in AdvisorMax discussions please note the following guidelines. To ensure the highest quality discussions for the majority of participants, members violating these guidelines will be denied access.

1. Show respect.

For fellow discussion participants, AdvisorMax discussion hosts, your clients. This includes:

  • No personal attacks. You can criticize someone's opinion, but no insults for individuals or their affiliations.

  • No inappropriate language. Let the language you use with your clients be your guide.

  • Taking care in crafting contributions, ensuring your posts are relevant to the topic where you submit them, thoughtful,clearly and concisely written, and contribute constructively to the conversation.

 
2. No advertising.

No selling. If you just found a great new investment vehicle to offer to your clients and want to share the details with your colleagues, great. If you sell a particular product (fund, insurance policy, annuity, software product), you can't advertise it here.


3. United States laws apply.

  •   No libel. You can express an opinion: "I don't think the people at XYZ Financial do a good job of training new reps." Avoid writing: "The people at XYZ Financial are crooks."
  • No Copyright Violations. Please only post content that is yours or that you have the right to use. This is a public space and care should be taken in posting personally identifiable, private details.

  • No Release of Private Information. This is a public space and care should be taken in posting personally identifiable, private details.

4. Accuracy of information.

Discussions offer rich access to a wide range of information. However, AdvisorMax cannot vouch for the accuracy or quality of individual postings. Please do your own research to validate information gathered here.

AdvisorMax has the right, but not the obligation, to delete messages that in our sole judgment violate any of the house rules.
